| Here you can see how tack is placed on top of mulch for a low cost (free) road bed. Been running great for about 1 year in rain or shine! The rain has not had any effect on the road bed. The inner tacks are DC (ShourtLIne TLC1 throttle controlled) and the outtter tracks are DCC controlled (Digitrax) both are run at the same time from the SL-PS800-3-28 power supply. | ||||
| The railway is powered by a Soft Works Ltd. SL-PS800-3-28 Output: 9 to 28 Volts at 32 Amps (Click here for details). Both DC and DCC (MTS) are powered from this supply that has three outputs. Two of the 24VDC outputs run through two SL-TLC1 6 Amp Linear Throttles (Click here for details) that connect to the tracks. The third 24VDC output powers a Digitrax DCS 200 8 amp booster to power DCC equiped locos. All the locos and rolling stock are by LGB. Both LGB and Digitrax decoders are used in the locomotives.
